Artist statement 

Since moving to the Bay Area in 2013, I’ve been continually inspired by Marina bay and its sunsets—particularly the seasonal symphony of cloudscapes.  My passion for watersports, photography and music has found its way into painting. I hunt weakly on my bike for beautiful dynamic visual orchestras.

You can see cumulus clouds enter like bold crescendos, full of movement and texture, adding depth and rhythm or low-hanging stratus layers act as a steady bass-line, grounding the scene with their quiet weight. 

This natural symphony speaks to the emotional range of the sky, echoing both the dramatic chaos and meditative calm of our inner landscapes. Who would have thought that there is music in the sky and in painting?
