Statement

My work exists between tradition and the contemporary, where material becomes memory and image evokes emotion. Rooted in ceramics and extending into painting, folk art, and digital media, I draw upon Korean symbolic motifs—peaches for longevity, grapes for abundance, and scholar’s desks for wisdom—reinterpreting them as vessels for personal and collective memory.

Working at Pixar has deepened my sensitivity to narrative and visual rhythm, yet my independent practice seeks quiet resonance. Through the fragility of clay, the depth of mineral pigments, and the fluidity of digital media, I create works that invite pause and a subtle encounter with emotion beneath the surface.
