Artist Statement

“Madrid at Sunset” was taken in September 2017, on my first visit to Spain. The photograph is a reminder of the beauty of Madrid, even in its hidden corners.

The image captures the beauty of a Madrid alleyway at sunset. The warm glow of the setting sun illuminates the narrow street, casting long shadows on the walls. The contrast between the dark alleyway and the bright church creates a sense of mystery and intrigue. At the end of the alleyway, a church with a single spire is bathed in the light of the sunset.
