Artist Statement

As a nature-oriented photo-based artist, I collect digitally found images for future use. These three miniature torn paper collages are from a single, thick, long leafed plant I photographed along a sidewalk close to my studio.

Transformed by vibrant color and digitally printed on 8.5”x11” fine art paper as a proof for a much larger art work which was part of the Emeryville Bus Shelter Project in 2020 these small collages serve as an example of recycling by an artist interested in fighting climate change.
